Owners


Jim Morris
Owner/Wearer of Many Hats
40+ Years Experience, 
State Licensed Contractor

Jim has lived in Hillsborough County all his life. He is a graduate of King High School and served in the US Army from 1967-1970, working in Hawk Missiles and Radar. He was trained in electronics, fuel oil heating, and air conditioning & heating through GE Project Transition and has also completed many courses in electronics, fuel oil, boilers, duct systems, a/c & heating, heat pumps, air quality, etc.

After holding the license for another company for several years, in 1988, Jim and Becky opened Morris Heating & Air Conditioning and successfully grew the business through word-of-mouth as a result of quality service. 1992 marked the incorporation of their business with the new name: Morris Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. Jim holds a Class “B” Florida State Contractor License.

Jim has been a licensed pilot since
1982 and enjoys collecting and working
on vintage cars. Time in the woods is
always welcome.


Becky Morris
Owner/Office Manager

Becky was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She served in the US Air Force in computer operations from 1971-1981 and moved to the Tampa Bay area after completing her service to be near her parents who had retired here. She and Jim were married in 1987, and she helped him raise his two boys, Russell and Johnny, both of whom are now valuable members of the company business.

Becky is very active in their church where she teaches Sunday School and is a member of the Worship Team, playing flute and percussion.

John West
Technician

State Licensed Contractor

John started training in heating and air conditioning with his dad at the age of five. In 1971, he started running his first truck and he now has over forty years of experience in the field. He has attended the Armstrong School of Heating and a number of schools during his twenty years of service in the US Air Force, including basic electric, heating and air conditioning and advanced controls. John holds a Class “A” Florida state license as an Air Conditioning Contractor. His favorite pastime is working on his family tree both online and in the state of Tennessee.


Russell Morris
Technician
20+ years Experience

Russell got started in the field by riding along with Jim and learning basic air conditioning and heating from the “napkin” drawings that were a regular part of lunch. He started working for the company during his senior year at Bloomingdale High School and after graduating in 1991, came to work for us full time. Russell has over twenty years experience in the field including extensive experience in fuel oil heating systems, but also is well-versed in all home air conditioning and heating systems.

Russell enjoys tinkering with music production and DJ’s in his spare time. He always looks forward to time spent snowboarding and occasionally relives his glory days on the skateboard ramp, but you can also find him on the golf course.

Office Staff


John Morris
Office/Dispatcher

Johnny grew up riding along with his dad on weekend service calls. He attended Jim’s “back of the placemat and napkin” school of a/c schematics and repair, learning the basic workings of air conditioning and fuel oil heating systems. After graduating from Bloomingdale High School, Johnny began working in the healthcare field where he became an expert in inventory and the purchasing and management of medical equipment and supplies in Florida and
New York City.

Now back in Florida, Johnny has rejoined the family business as our dispatcher and inventory specialist, making sure your experience with us starts out with great customer service. Johnny’s hobbies include darts and soccer.
